Best ATU Quarterly Maintenance Schedule

I just had my quarterly maintenance done and the contractor told me to check the air diffuser monthly and the biofilm buildup quarterly. Is this typical? What have others experienced in terms of maintenance intervals for their systems? I want to make sure I’m taking proper care of my ATU to avoid costly repairs down the road.
